Ready, Set, SAIL!
Looking for a fun sunny day activity with the kids? Craft little floating boats using everyday items found around the house. May the fastest win!
YOU’LL NEED
- Sponges
- Wooden skewers
- Construction paper
- Scissors
WHAT TO DO:
STEP 1: Make the sails by cutting out triangles in your construction paper. Get creative and colourful!
STEP 2: Place the skewer in the middle of the sponge to create the pole of your sailboat. Make sure you don’t stick it completely through the sponge!
STEP 3: Then, gently place the triangles through the skewer, ideally through the top and the bottom centre of the triangle “sail”.
STEP 4: Decorate your sailboat any way you like. Place them on the water to watch them float, then make them race! May the best sailboat win!
